Sweet apple and maple create a naturally sweet center beneath rich semisweet chocolate. Cinnamon adds warmth while finely blended dehydrated apple brings concentrated orchard flavor to every bite. Homemade preparation avoids relying on artificial flavor, synthetic dyes, and unnecessary additives. Almond butter and protein powder add satisfying fats and protein alongside the fruit.

Ingredients

Protein Bites

\1/4 Cup of Almond Butter
\1/4 Cup of Maple Syrup
\1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
\1 Cup of Almond Flour
\1/4 Cup of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
\1/2 Teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
\1/3 Cup of Dehydrated Apple Slices, Blended
\1/4 Teaspoon of Salt

Chocolate Coating

\1 Cup of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
\1 Teaspoon of Coconut Oil

Garnish

\2 Tablespoons of Dehydrated Apple Slices, Blended
\1 Teaspoon of Maple Sugar, Or Vanilla Sugar
\1/4 Teaspoon of Apple Pie Spice
\1/8 Teaspoon of Salt

Instructions

  1. Blend the dehydrated apple slices.
  2. Add the creamy almond butter, pure maple syrup, and vanilla extract to a mixing bowl and mix until smooth.
  3. Add the almond flour, vanilla protein powder, cinnamon, and dehydrated apple powder to the bowl and mix until completely combined.
  4. Divide into 12 equal portions, roll into bites, and place directly into a glass storage container.
  5. Chill for 20 minutes.
  6. Add the semisweet chocolate chips and coconut oil to a stainless steel saucepan and melt over low heat until smooth.
  7. Coat each chilled bite in the semisweet chocolate and return directly to the glass storage container.
  8. Sprinkle with the garnish.
  9. Chill for 25 minutes or until completely set.
