Description

Tender seasoned steak, caramelized onions, tender bell peppers, and fluffy jasmine rice create a hearty bowl with rich savory flavor. The creamy beef sauce adds a smooth finish while freshly shredded cheese melts over the top. The combination of steak, rice, and cheese makes each bowl filling and satisfying. Bell peppers and onions add natural sweetness and fresh fajita flavor.

Ingredients

Meat and Veggies

  • 2 Tablespoons of Butter
  • 1 Large of Onion
  • 3 1 Green, 1 Yellow, 1 Red of Bell Pepper(s)
  • 1 1/2 lbs of Steak Fajita Rice Bowl
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon of Onion Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon of Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon of Ground Cumin
  • 1 Cup of Bone Broth

Rice

  • 1 Cup of Jasmine Rice
  • 2 Cups of Filtered Water
  • 1/8 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Butter

Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons of Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup of Bone Broth
  • 1/2 Cup of Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt

Toppings

  • 1 Cup of Fresh Grated White Cheddar
  • 1 Cup of Fresh Grated Cheese (Mozzarella or White Cheddar)

Equipment

  • Saucepans
  • Large Skillet
  • Non Toxic Cutting Board

Instructions

  • Rinse rice until water is clear. Add the jasmine rice, water, butter and salt to the saucepan with a lid. Bring to boil then reduce to low. Cook until water is evaporated about 15 minutes. Set aside with lid off for 5 minutes.
  • Dice the peppers and onion. Shred the cheeses and set aside.
  • Melt 1 tablespoon of the butter in the large skillet over medium low heat.
  • Add the peppers and onion and cook until onion is translucent and the peppers and onions are tender.
  • Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon butter in the center of the skillet,
  • Add the shaved beef and seasonings. Allow to cook fully.
  • Pour beef broth into the skillet. Simmer until sauce is thick.
  • Melt the butter a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Whisk in the all purpose flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Slowly whisk in the remaining beef broth until smooth.
  • Whisk in the heavy whipping cream and salt.
  • Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until smooth and slightly thickened.
  • Assemble the bowls accordingly. Rice, Meat and Veggies, Sauce then Cheeses.
  • Serve Immediately and Enjoy!
