Vial Crispy Roasted Sweet Potato Halves
Deeply caramelized sweet potato halves develop crisp golden edges while staying soft, creamy, and fluffy inside. Roasting them cut side down creates a rich, naturally sweet flavor with a lightly salted finish. Sweet potatoes provide fiber, complex carbohydrates, and beta carotene. Olive oil adds satisfying richness and helps the cut surface become beautifully crisp.

Notes
Tips:
Dry the sweet potatoes completely before cutting so excess moisture does not interfere with browning
Choose sweet potatoes that are similar in size so they finish baking at the same time
Do not move the sweet potatoes while they bake because uninterrupted contact with the baking sheet creates the crisp surface
Use a thin spatula to lift the sweet potatoes without tearing the caramelized edges
Phase:
Luteal- sweet potatoes provide complex carbohydrates, fiber, and vitamin B6 that complement the increased energy and appetite commonly associated with this phase
Season:
Fall- warm roasted sweet potatoes have a naturally sweet and comforting flavor that fits cooler fall meals
